Ian was our son.He was our brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He was smart, funny, caring and could light up a room with his presence. He touched more lives than he ever knew. Unfortunately he didn’t see any of these traits in himself and he carried arounda deep dark depression that he never let anyone see – not even his family or closest friends. Ian took his life the day before his 18th birthday, on May 31st, 2002.It was two weeks before graduation and he was set to go to college that fall. He left us with an emptiness that will never be filled, questions that will never be answeredand loving memories of him that will never die! We have formed The Ian Oliu Foundation for Life in his memory. We hope to bring about change. We hope to let others know that they are not alone andthat there is help available. … no matter what the future bringsor what we are able to accomplish with this foundation, our thoughts will remain the same… We Love You and Miss You Every Minute of Every Day “E”.~
